Before applying Advanced Hair Nutrition(AHN), users should have the hair washed and cleaned up. This is to get rid of the oily substances and dirt stuck at the hair holes so as to prepare for the AHN to permeate into the hair follicles. Using ordinary soap / neutral shampoo is enough.
